PENGAPIT POPULAR pt.2

my third and fourth experiences as a pengapit were more straightforward. Although it may seem straightforward after that stint in Johor. Third time was in Ipoh for my old friend Shamsul's wedding. Shamsul's parents, in seremban, serves up something unique when it was their turn to host the wedding. It was the first kenduri that i have been to that showcased a caklempong performance to entertain their guests.

The fourth time could have been the most intimadating. Why? Because this most recent experience involved me being a pengapit to someone who is marrying a girl from Johol, Nogoghi Sombilan. Yes, you've guessed it. ADAT PEPATIH. However, I think the girl's family, in the end, did not strictly followed all the adat ceremonies as the groom and his families came from Kelantan and may not grasp the whole pepatih thing that well.

Walaupun aku ni dari Seremban, aku pun tak berapa tahu adat pepatih jadi aku pun tumpang lega jugak le. However, I was also a bit disappointed because I really like to have the oppurtunity to observe how a adat pepatih wedding is done. As I might again be an important part in another Nogoghi Sombilan wedding at the end of the year....but not as a pengapit..........
